This M43 field cap is constructed from field gray Italian wool-tricot blend material with a whipcord weave. The crown of the cap is piped in white. The front depicts a machine woven Waffen SS trapezoid insignia , introduced in 1944 , which is machine sewn to the front of the cap in a manner that does not pierce the lining. The interior is fully lined in a field gray rayon. The interior stamped with a size "57" . The exterior is without stains or holes, and the interior shows only light wear. The cap is one of the best I have handled for condition and would rate excellent.
